How to Manifest What You Really Want?

You’ve been thinking of your sister. You spoke with her on Thanksgiving and it has been so many weeks since then. All of a sudden, the phone rings.

It’s your sister on the other end.

This ever happen with you?

In India, whenever such a coincidence occurs and someone whom we’ve been thinking about comes in front of us or calls us, we say they have a long life. Some might consider this superstitious, some call it the Law of Attraction, but in reality, we simply manifested their presence in front of us.

That’s the power of manifesting things and people – you can use it to get whatever you desire in your life.

Of course, simple wishing won’t suffice, but that shouldn’t stop you from daydreaming. In fact, why don’t you do it right now?

Close your eyes and envision that you have accomplished your goal. It could be that house you’ve been eyeing, that dream job, finding ‘the one’, a big bank balance, or maybe taking a long-overdue vacation.

Now sprinkle it with things and people who bring you joy.

Punctuate it with memorabilia.

Experience the emotions that come with achieving your goal – contentment, satisfaction, pride, delight, and happiness.

Feels good, doesn’t it?

If you are experiencing so much joy with just envisioning your accomplishment, imagine how would you feel when it actually happens??

But how many of us actually take the leap?

The reason is simple: most of us don’t expect to win.

Here’s the thing: your actions should be based on what you want, not what you expect. Both of these are completely different. I’ve learnt from my experience that expectations might differ from what you might want. You might want a lot of things but your expectations dictate your actions that help you achieve them.

The number one reason why people stay stuck in life is because:

Expectations + Your Actions = Creation of your life experiences

I’ll share another story with you.

I had a client. Let’s call her Camilla. Camilla ran a Yoga Center. She was a successful woman but she was also shy and had a lot of self-doubt. When she came into my contact, she got some confidence to take her business to the next level. She decided to expand her center to another city.

One day, Camilla called me from her second center, worried sick. Apparently, she started recalling her initial struggles when she started her first center. She overthought everything and worked herself up. The result? She cancelled the new center a day before opening.

I wish I could say that this behavior was uncommon. Unfortunately, most people give up right before they’re about to succeed.

So, then how to get what you really want? How do you manifest anything that you want?

Here are three ways to go about it:

Number #1: Stop Wishing.

You are not Aladdin. Neither do you have a magic lamp that brings out a genie.

So, unless you get out and start doing, wishful thinking is not going to get you anywhere.

But how do you begin? Where do you begin?

Take baby steps. Start small.

Set up a vision board and decorate it with things that accomplishing your goal will bring along with it. Then create a roadmap for the present month and do one thing everyday to get closer to your goal.

Number #2: Stop taking exits.

A client of mine had commitment issues. He could not stay tied down to a single job. He switched jobs his whole life and towards his 40th birthday, he decided to set up his own business.

The first business idea tanked because he could not figure out how to procure a franchise of a popular food chain in his area. He gave up his second idea because he could not find a reliable partner. The final idea led to his business setup, but could not take off because he had a falling out with the first client he met.

Do you see a pattern?

This client, let’s call him Tom, would run at the very first obstacle he encountered everywhere. Even in his work life, he could not stay put because the boss was not good, he did not like the job, or he did not find the workplace conducive.

As long as you keep taking exits, you will never be on the highway.

Number #3: Align your chakras with your mission.
