What’s common among all these numbers?

Well, depending on what religion you’re from, these numbers are either pious or inauspicious. The number 777 signifies the perfection of Trinity and can be contrasted against the number of the Beast, 666 in Christianity. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the number 108 is considered as the wholeness of existence. For those of us who are seeking more out of our time here on earth, numerology plays an important role.

As such, even those skeptical among us still tend to have favorite numbers. For instance, their first jersey number or number plate of the first car they had. Some of us even have lucky numbers and others have observed that significant milestones of their lives tend to occur in pairs or in threes.

I remember a friend of mine in school had an affinity for even numbers. He preferred everything around him to happen at an even time or occur in groups of even numbers. He had 2 pairs of shoes, 4 backpacks and even 2 bicycles! Today, he works at Wall Street and the last time I met him, he told he jokingly, that his bank account number ended in 2.

It was amusing, but when I asked him, he said he did not believe in numerology but still loved everything in even numbers. The point I’m trying to make is, numbers play an important part in our lives – whether we believe it or not. And this is the crux of numerology.

What is Numerology?

Numerology is the study of numbers. It is believed that every number has a frequency attached to it and every frequency has a meaning. This frequency is also referred to as the cosmic vibration of a number. Each number from 1 to 9 is believed to carry its own symbolic meaning and when these numbers are broken down, they reveal the personalities, challenges and potential of a person.

Let’s understand this with an example. Paul’s birthday falls on May 12, 1981 or 12/05/1981. What we do is, we add up all numbers of Paul’s birthday (1+2+0+5+1+9+8+1), resulting in a total of 27. The two digits of this number are again added up to produce a Life Path Number of 9 for Paul.

Sounds interesting, right?

Here’s a brief description of every number from 1 through 9.

• 6 – Loving and caring instinct. These people are beloved to their near and dear ones because they are thoughtful, honest and conscientious and are always on the lookout for the wellbeing and rights of others. They find it easy to communicate with both humans and animals.
• 7 – Possessed with innate spiritual wisdom. People with 7 as their life path number are deeply analytical and meet life on their own terms. They also tend towards natural perfectionism and utmost loyalty, holding themselves and others to the highest standards.
• 8 – Powerhouse of personality. These people are incredibly creative, have a very strong willpower and are blessed with a good luck. They are forward-thinkers and can assemble a strong team to transform plans into reality.
• 9 – Trustworthy, compassionate and honest. Such people are idealistic and sensitive and are overtly generous and kind.

In a way, yes.

Chakras are energy epicenters in the body and they go in a round motion, controlling the energy flow inside. A combination of activated chakras creates an energy veil inside and around your body.
